Tom Ford: Bio Company, Products and Price Point


Tom Ford is mainly known for being a fashion designer. He was originally the Creative Director of Gucci from 1994-2004. Tom Ford founded his own fashion label 'Tom Ford' in 2004. He is also a film director.

When Tom Ford created his own company, his first collection released was of beauty and eyewear in 2005 and is now known as the most popular brand for eyewear worldwide! His first store was opened in New York city in 2006 which sold luxury menswear and was a success. In the next 10 years more than 100 free-standing Tom Ford retail stores were opened worldwide. Tom Ford is known to be a high end brand because his products are so luxurious with it's beautiful fabrics.

In 2006 Tom Ford also launched 'Tom Ford Beauty' with his first fragrance, Black Orchid. After 6 months, his luxurious 'Private Blend' collection was presented. The collection provides 6 different fragrances: Neroli Portofino, Jasmin Rouge, Oud Wood, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanilla and Noir de Noir.Tom Ford today has 6 signature fragrances for men and women and the 'Private Blend' collection is still a success. His first launch of makeup in his brand was 'Private Blend Lip Colour' collection which was released in 2010. His complete collection of makeup and skincare is described to 'help any woman achieve potent, modern glamour, in a way that best expresses her unique look and mood.'

Tom Ford has also premiered his first film in 2009, 'A Single Man'. He co-wrote and directed this drama. It stars Colin Firth and Julian Moore. The film was a hit and had an Oscar nomination swell as two Golden Globe nominations!

Tom Ford made his long-awaited return to womenswear in 2010 since his Gucci designs. His womenswear collection was presented in New York and was an intimate show. His collection included, cocktail and evening wear, suits and separates, including accessories and jewellery. The collection was described as 'timeless, sexy and elegant silhouettes highlights and amplifies a woman's personal style and individuality.'
